Osceola County Unveils State-of-the-Art Fire Station 43 in Campbell City |
New Facility Enhances Emergency Response and Community Safety |
Osceola County has proudly inaugurated the new Fire Station 43 in Campbell City, marking a significant advancement in the region's public safety infrastructure.
Located on Whispering Pines Boulevard, this modern facility replaces the former station on Broad Street, providing enhanced capabilities to serve the community more effectively.
The $13.8 million, 12,700-square-foot station is designed to support contemporary fire rescue operations.
It features living quarters, training areas, and workspaces for personnel, along with four apparatus bays that accommodate current vehicles and allow room for future expansion as service demands grow.
Fire Chief Larry Collier emphasized the station's evolution, stating, "The new home for Station 43 is the latest of many steps we've taken to enhance our emergency services capacity here in Osceola County."
Station 43 currently houses Rescue 43, an emergency medical services transport unit, along with Squad 43, one of the department's multi-disciplinary Special Operations teams.
The station also supports specialized apparatus, including Tanker 43 and Brush 43, which are deployed as needed for water supply and wildland firefighting operations.
County Manager Don Fisher highlighted the broader impact, noting, "The new fire station stands as a lasting symbol to the commitment we have for public safety."
With the opening of Station 43, Osceola County continues its commitment to enhancing emergency response capabilities and ensuring residents in Campbell City and surrounding areas are protected by modern, well-equipped facilities. |
