Strategically located on Whispering Pines Boulevard, this state-of-the-art facility replaces the outdated Broad Street station, positioning firefighters closer to residents for faster response times.

 

The $13.8 million, 12,700-square-foot complex includes advanced living quarters, dedicated training spaces, and four expansive apparatus bays to accommodate current and future vehicles.

 

Chief Larry Collier notes the move strengthens emergency services countywide.

 

Station 43 serves as home base for Rescue 43, a key EMS unit, and Squad 43, a versatile Special Operations team.

 

Specialized vehicles like Tanker 43 and Brush 43 also ensure readiness for both water supply needs and wildland firefighting.
