🌿 Local Parks Launch Winter Programming

St Cloud Parks and Recreation Department announced new winter activities at Lakefront Park and Veterans Memorial Park.

The event targets Florida state-certified law enforcement officers and out-of-state candidates eligible for Equivalency of Training (EOT), streamlining the entire recruitment process.

 

Testing, interviews, and physical assessments will all take place in one location, minimizing travel, time off work, and lengthy application delays.

With new developments like Pine Grove Reserve and NeoCity South drawing more people and opportunities to St. Cloud, the need for dedicated officers has never been greater.

Dr. PK Patel, an interventional cardiologist, underscores the urgent need, noting the region faces frequent severe heart attacks where every minute matters for saving heart muscle.

 

Until now, patients had to travel over an hour to Orlando for critical procedures.

 

The new cath labs and ICU will allow immediate, lifesaving interventions right in St. Cloud, greatly improving outcomes and privacy with cutting-edge technology and features like instantly frosted glass doors.

 

Hospital president Brian Wetzel highlights this $32 million, two-story expansion as a step toward world-class local care, reinforcing their commitment to the community.
